A Farewell to the Messenger Project

The last part to this project involved receiving a person in the same English class as me. When I realized that I would have somebody who was in the same class as me, I was not very thrilled. The name that my card read was,  "Jeff Reidy." I did not really know that much about him; all that I knew was that he sat right behind me, and is never really prepared for test (meaning that he never really has pencils and other materials for class). I has no clue what to get him, and after asking around, I still did not know.

Then I started thinking; if I was to receive a gift (which I did), what would be some things that I want? I walked up to a Walgreen's near my house and went into the candy section first. I decided to buy him some candy because who doesn't like candy? After debating whether candy would just be okay, I decided to not be basic like everybody else in my class was doing, and I came up with another gift idea. Midterms are approaching, and that is the perfect opportunity to give some needed materials. I went to the crafts section, and picked up mechanical pencils and a big eraser that said "For Big Mistakes."

The best part of this project was the fact that I was anonymous. I am usually the first into my Mod B English, and as soon as I came in I placed it on the desk behind me. It was special because I got to hear and see his reaction towards my gift that I gave him. I realized that something as little as pencils and candy could make someone happy.
